How to take this medication
Take 1 Levitra® tablet about 1 hour (60 minutes) before sexual activity. Some form of sexual stimulation is needed for an erection to happen with Levitra®. Levitra® may be taken with or without meals.
Side Effects
The most common side affects with Levitra® are headaches, flushing, stuffy or running nose. If you have an erection lasting more than 4 hours, seek medical help right away. Levitra® may uncommonly cause vision changes, such as seeing a blue tinge to objects or having difficulty telling the difference between the colors blue and green.
Precautions
Before taking Levitra®, tell your doctor or other healthcare professional about your medical history, including any heart problems (such as angina, heart failure, irregular heart beats), low blood pressure or high blood pressure that is not controlled, history of a stroke, liver problems, kidney problems or require dialysis, retinitis pigmentosa (a rare eye disease that is genetic), stomach ulcers, bleeding problems, history of painful or prolonged erections (Peyronie’s disease or priapism), blood cell problems such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia.
Drug Interactions
Tell your online doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially any medicines called “nitrates”. Do not take Levitra® if you use recreational drugs called “poppers” (like amyl nitrate and butyl nitrate) or take medicines called alpha blockers.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, do not double the next dose. Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Storage
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from light and moisture. All prescription medications must be kept out of reach of children.
Notes
Do not share Levitra® with others, since they may have a problem that is not effectively treated by this drug. Use of this drug does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases (e.g., HIV, Hepatitis B, gonorrhea).
